Mwanza Outreach Care and Support Organization (MOCSO) started as a community based organization in 2004 and as it grew and expanded coverage of activities, it changed it status and was registered as non-governmental organization with registration certificate Number 00NGO/00006488 dated 2 August 2013.
The organization is voluntary, charitable, not for profit, non political and non discriminative in terms of gender, ethnicity, race or religion. The Mission of the organization is to mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS and to reduce poverty and discrimination in the country through effective partnerships, networking, cooperation and collaboration with other stake holders
Kizazi Hodari NEZ is a child-focused and family centered project with the main goal of improving health, well being and protection of orphans, vulnerable children(OVC) and youth aged 0-17 in high HIV burden communities along four key domain which are health, safety, schooling and stability.
Adolescents and children HIV incidence reduction, empowerment and virus elimination by providing HIV and health services to CLHIV and OVC households. The project also targets AGYW and boys by providing education on HIV infection reduction and prevention of violence against children
To promote community engagement and strengthen capacity to implement community level activities by working with CHWs, CHVs, GM, HCP and CHMT to ensure sustainability in Maternal Health including Newborn and Child Health, Family Planning and Respective Care to its clients.
